Please Save Baby of Anju Bisht – A Premature Newborn Fighting For Every Breath
In the NICU, inside a small incubator, lies a tiny baby who came into this world too soon.
Baby of Anju Bisht was not supposed to be born yet. But due to a critical emergency, doctors had to perform an Effective Lower Segment Cesarean Section Under Spinal Anesthesia to save the mother Anju Bisht and her baby. The baby was born premature, weeks before its time. Too small to breathe on its own. Too small to cry loudly. Too small to even open its eyes properly.
Today, this innocent soul is fighting a battle that no newborn should have to fight.
Instead of being in the warm arms of its mother, this baby is surrounded by wires, tubes, and the constant beeping of machines. A ventilator is breathing for the baby. Tiny needles are giving medicines. A feeding tube is giving milk. Every second is a struggle. Every breath is painful.
The doctors have said the baby is extremely premature and critically ill. The lungs are not fully developed. The weight is very low. Infection can happen anytime. The baby needs to stay in the NICU for many weeks under 24-hour intensive care, ventilator support, and special premature baby care to survive.
Anju Bisht became a mother with so much hope. She had dreamed of holding her healthy baby, of taking her baby home. But instead, she is standing outside the NICU glass, with tears that never stop, just praying to see her baby move once. She has not even been able to hold her own child properly. Her heart breaks every time the monitor beeps loudly.
And now, along with this pain, there is another mountain in front of this poor family – the cost of treatment.
The family is from a very humble background. They have already spent everything they had for the emergency C-section and initial NICU admission. But premature baby treatment is very long and very expensive. NICU charges, ventilator charges, medicines, tests, and doctor fees are costing lakhs of rupees. Every day the bill is increasing.
They have no way to arrange such a big amount. They have borrowed, they have asked relatives, but it is still not enough. Without money, the treatment will stop, and we cannot even imagine what will happen to this little one.
