9-year-old Rashmi from Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, should be in school with her friends, but she is lying on a hospital bed fighting for her life.

Rashmi is suffering from Medulloblastoma – a deadly brain tumor. She has severe headaches, vomiting, and cannot walk or see properly. The tumor in her small brain is growing fast and can take her life anytime.

Her treatment is going on in AIIMS Delhi, but her condition is very critical. She needs urgent brain surgery, chemotherapy and radiation to survive.

Her father is a poor daily wager from Etawah. He earns only Rs. 300-400 a day when he gets work. He has left his village and is now helpless on the streets of Delhi, sleeping outside the hospital. He has sold everything, borrowed from everyone, but the treatment costs 2.5lakhs and he has nothing left.

Little Rashmi keeps asking her mother, “When will I go home? When will I go to school again?”
